These fields make China quotes comparable. Incomplete RFQs usually come back as unit-price guesses.

- Paper grades and target speed / open time
- Viscosity, solids, gel point, and storage/shelf-life window
- Food-contact, formaldehyde, or alkali-free constraints
- Sample volume plus a production-trial acceptance plan

What packaging adhesives do carton plants buy from China?
Paper plants buy starch adhesives by machine: laminator/paper-mounting glue, glue-machine grades, corrugating-line powder or strengtheners, honeycomb core and facing glue, and paper-tube or corner-protector glue. Folder-gluer carton-sealing adhesives are a different chemistry—do not RFQ one “packaging glue” for every line.
Which glue is used for paper mounting versus a corrugating line?
Laminators and glue machines need fast-dry mounting grades matched to grey board, white card, or printed sheets. Corrugators use starch glue powder or additives specified by gel point, viscosity, and humid-season ECT—not the same SKU as mounting glue.
What should a packaging adhesive RFQ include?
Freeze the machine type, paper grades, line speed, open/set time, viscosity window, food-contact or formaldehyde limits, sample size, and a production-trial plan. Quotes without those fields are not comparable.
Can one adhesive cover paper tubes, honeycomb, and corrugating?
Usually no. Tube winding, honeycomb core vs facing, and corrugating lines need different tack, dry speed, and gel point. Ask for the equipment and process, not a generic industrial glue grade.
