How carton and flexible plants buy packaging inks from China: ink systems, substrates, food-pack constraints, color control, sampling, and RFQ fields for print consumables.

Buy packaging inks by naming print process (flexo/offset/gravure), substrate, and end-use constraints (food-adjacent, outdoor, deep freeze)—not by ordering “CMYK set” alone. Ink–substrate mismatch shows up as rub-off, odor, and poor lamination bond.
Ink system families
Water-based, solvent, UV/EB, and specialty low-migration systems. Flexible pouches, corrugated, and folding cartons often need different chemistries. State dryer capability and press brand when known.
Performance specs to write
Color strength, viscosity window, drying, rub, heat resistance for sealing jaws, and odor limits. For laminated structures, confirm ink is compatible with adhesive/film stack.
