D-Board and POS Display Materials Buying Guide
Buyer guide to D-Board and POS display materials from China: panel grades, printability, structures, retail durability, sampling, and RFQ fields for exhibition and in-store displays.
Quick answer
Source D-Board and POS display panels by locking thickness/grade, print method, structural duty (floor stand vs shelf), and indoor durability—not by buying “display board” from a lifestyle photo. Display materials are not shipping cartons; RFQs must say so.
What D-Board / POS materials cover
Printable structural panels for retail displays, dump bins, endcaps, and exhibition builds. They prioritize flatness, print face, and clean edges more than ECT stack strength. Honeycomb or specialty cores may sit inside facing papers.
Grade and thickness decisions
Call out panel thickness, facing quality, and whether both sides print. Heavier panels resist warp on tall structures but raise freight. Ask for flatness tolerances and moisture sensitivity for humid stores or outdoor-adjacent lobbies (most POS is indoor-only).
Print and finishing
Digital for short runs/variable campaigns; offset/UV for volume. Soft-touch, laminate, and spot UV change scuff behavior under shopper handling. Approve color on the real panel face. Edge banding or clean trim specs prevent fuzzy retail edges.
Structure and hardware
Define shelves, hooks, header cards, and fold lines. Hardware (plastic feet, metal clips) often comes from a second supplier—state who supplies what. Prototype one unit in real store lighting when color-critical.
RFQ fields
Panel size/thickness; single/double face print
Structure drawings; hardware notes
Print process; finish; quantity ladder
Indoor durability expectations; sample policy
Incoterms; flat-pack vs assembled shipping
