How to Plan FAT Checklists for Packaging Machinery from China
Sourcing guide to FAT checklists for packaging machinery from China: sample materials, speed windows, quality criteria, safety, training, punch lists, and payment gates.
Quick answer
Plan FAT with your real materials, written speed/quality windows, safety checks, and a punch-list process tied to payment. A demo on supplier scrap stock is not an acceptance test.
Build the FAT pack early
List machine configuration, utilities, sample blanks/board, inks/glue, target speeds, and reject criteria. Share it before deposit when possible so the builder prepares the right setup.
Define pass/fail clearly
Include register, cut quality, glue bond, stack quality, changeover timing if relevant, and run duration. Record settings and video during the official run.
Cover safety and docs
Check guarding, e-stops, manuals language, spare-parts list, and training agenda. Incomplete documentation should be a punch-list item, not a post-shipment surprise.
Link money to closure
State which punch-list items block balance payment versus which can ship with a dated remediation plan. Ambiguous FAT language causes payment disputes.
